Liv Miller Director Quinbrook

Liv Miller is an Investment Director with over 15 years’ experience in development and investment in renewable energy, including solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, BESS, bio-CNG refuelling, biogas, and green hydrogen. Liv is responsible for Quinbrook’s investment activities in the UK and Ireland.  

Liv joined Quinbrook in 2024 from Statkraft, where she was Vice President of Corporate Transactions leading negotiations across solar, onshore and offshore wind, green hydrogen and green ammonia focussed on the UK, Ireland and Norway.

Previously, she was Senior Investment Manager at Ingenious for their renewable energy funds investing in wind, solar, anaerobic digestion and bio-CNG as well as Senior Development Manager at Lightsource, developing UK solar PV.

She holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University and a Masters in Finance from London Business School.

Trevor Wills Chief Executive Officer Pulse Clean Energy

Trevor is the CEO of Pulse Clean Energy, a London-based developer and owner of utility-scale battery storage assets. Pulse delivers solutions that reduce energy system costs, decrease emissions, and enhance grid resilience.


With a career spanning North and South America and Europe, Trevor has deep experience in the development, acquisition, and operation of natural gas, wind, solar, hydro, and battery storage facilities across multiple geographies and market structures.


Trevor was involved in the 2022 launch of Pulse, securing a $500 million commitment from the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO). Previously, Trevor led Boost Energy Ventures Inc. and co-founded Valence Energy Capital Corporation. He also held leadership roles at ATCO Ltd., including leading Growth & Acquisitions for its global electricity division.


Trevor holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Alberta and an M.Sc. in Management (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Tony Julius Chief Financial Officer Fidra Energy

Tony has worked in the energy sector for over 30 years.  Prior to joining Fidra Energy, he was CFO at West Burton Energy overseeing the establishment of a stand-alone finance function, the refinancing of the business in 2023, and subsequent sale of its operational assets to Total Energies in August 2024.  

Tony has also previously held a number of finance leadership roles at Centrica and EPH.

Gauri Kasbekar-Shah Head of Project Finance UK, Middle East and Africa Siemens Bank

Gauri is Head of Project Finance UK, Middle East and Africa in Siemens Bank. She has more than 20 years of in-depth experience in the energy and renewables sector. She has led deal teams on a number of notable transactions in the UK and Europe ranging across all technologies from wind (onshore and offshore), solar, biomass, WtE, biogas, hydro and complimentary infrastructure including batteries and flexible generation.

She has led on a number of landmark transactions including platform financings for Ventient Energy, Octopus Energy, Greencoat Wind, NTR, LightsourceBP, JPMAM, Saeta Yield, EIP and other clients for multiple technologies to grow cross-border renewable portfolios. These transactions have involved a mix of offtake structures and project pipelines in various stages of development. Gauri is focussed on the energy transition through established technologies but also working on carbon capture and storage, hydrogen and green fuels including decarbonisation of hard to abate sectors.

Prior to joining Siemens, Gauri was Head of Energy at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management for 3 years, having previously worked in the Project Finance at Natwest (formerly RBS) for 14 years. As a thought leader in the sector she is a regular speaker on panels and at conferences.

Ben Morris (Moderator) Partner Forvis Mazars LLP

Ben is a partner in Forvis Mazar's Infrastructure finance team, responsible for leading our Financial advisory and valuations service offering in the Energy and infrastructure sectors. Ben has a specific focus on EMEA transactions, whilst also working with our local teams to sign off valuations in the sector globally.

Ben has nearly 20 years of sector experience, with a strong track record of closing deals and signing off valuations for large infrastructure funds, utilities, project developers, lenders and other clients. Ben has broad experience across the social infrastructure, transport and energy sectors, with particular expertise in the renewable energy and broader energy transition space, increasingly supplemented with “core plus” infrastructure experience for funds looking to expand their investment remit.

Ben’s range of financial advisory services includes M&A lead advisory (on the buy side and sell side), equity and debt capital raising, financial structuring, transaction support and financial modelling. His valuation experience covers well over £20bn investments for large listed and unlisted debt and equity funds.

Julia Gubar Investment Director Octopus

Julia is an Investment Director at Octopus Energy Generation, where she leads fundraising and investments in solar, onshore wind and BESS projects. She has raised and now manages two funds with a combined EV of £1.3bn.

She enjoys working alongside entrepreneurs to help scale innovative businesses, and serves as a non-executive director on the boards of several developers. She is particularly passionate about backing businesses that accelerate the energy transition.

Before Octopus, Julia invested in renewable energy projects across Europe at private equity firm Platina Partners, where she also developed greenfield solar projects.

She holds a Master's degree in Finance from London Business School.

Ingrid Edmund Managing Director, Private Sector Finance National Wealth Fund

Ingrid is Managing Director in Private Sector Finance, responsible for investments across sectors including energy storage, green steel and critical minerals.  

She brings over 20 years of experience in infrastructure investment, project finance and advisory, spanning sectors across energy transition and digital infrastructure. She has worked across both debt and equity investments, leading complex transactions across UK and Europe from origination through to execution and portfolio management.

Before joining, Ingrid was Senior Investment Director at Downing, leading investments in renewable generation, storage and power solutions for data-centre development. Previously she was part of the founding team of Columbia Threadneedle’s European sustainable infrastructure platform, raising institutional capital and leading investments across renewables, data centres and transportation. Ingrid also held roles at Hastings Funds Management and HSBC Asset Management, having started her career in project finance and credit analysis at SMBC and Standard & Poor’s.
